We found these shoes in a charity shop, and thought that the colour would match our gold theme perfectly - we intend to use them as part of the costumes for the female actors in the 'party' scene of our video.

We have chosen a mainly gold colour scheme for the actors - aside from the main character - because gold represents wealth and luxury, which will highlight the fact that they are materialistic and ruled by consumerism. The use of small dogs in handbags is a mimic of the fashion started by the rich, famous females, such as Paris Hilton, who are shallow role models for young girls today.

In our video we intend to show the effect of materialism on children. Not only are kids becoming obsessed with technology, with even young children playing video games and using mobile phones, but they are also becoming divided; while boys are being exposed to more and more violence at younger ages in the form of TV and video games, girls are being exposed to images of the 'perfect' woman, and are mimicking their voyeuristic styles of makeup and dress from a very young age.

We've just had a superb reply which is looking good!

We hope to film the party shots all in one day! We will get a better idea once we have completed planning all the shots, as now we are only about a quarter of the way through.

An option for the party scene is this Hall,

I have emailed the chair of the Ulceby Community Centre to see if its possible that we could use it for free, although we're not expecting them to be this generous!

The Hall is a great place for the party because its indoors and before we we were planning to have it outdoors - however I am worried that weather will become a big issue for us.
